Casting for "I Love Chinaski When He Writes About Death"

This past weekend we sat down to audition actresses for the lead role in Pepperman Productions' new film, "I Love Chinaski When He Writes About Death". It was really interesting to see things from the perspective of a producer/casting director vs. that of the actress auditioning.

We got tons of submissions via Facebook Groups, Vancouver Actor's Guide, Actor's Access and Breakdown Express. Some really great, stand-out auditions on Saturday, and luckily we got our girl!

I had the opportunity to work on the script with writer/director Andres Toro and feel this is a beautiful story that will resonate with so many. This will be the first short film I've produced, and I'm looking forward to the experience.
